Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

Abnormal uterine bleeding can be the result of several things such as Polyps or fibroids, Hormonal changes or problems with ovulation, cancer or precancerous changes. Certain medications can cause abnormal bleeding patterns as well.

Patients can often complain of:

  • Bleeding after sex
  • Bleeding after menopause
  • Bleeding longer than 7 days
  • A menstrual cycle that lasts longer than 35 days or comes faster than every 21 days
  • Spotting between your periods
