What is the difference between a midwife and doula?
In the delivery room, a Doula provides the emotional and physical support during labor but they do not deliver the baby. Some women choose to have doula support with them during delivery for things such as managing emotional support with pain management during natural labor, counseling and support during labor and pushing, massages, etc.
The midwife, would be the one to deliver the baby for you but they also provide that emotional support at the bedside.
